ถ้ามาจากตัวเมืองเชียงราย ก็ต้องใช้เส้นทางสาย เชียงราย - เทิง - ภูชี้ฟ้า จากเชียงรายใช้เส้นทางสาย ๑๐๒๐ ไปจนถึง อ. เทิง  พอถึง อ. เทิง ชื่อถนนจะเปลี่ยนไปเป็น ๑๐๒๑ ไม่ต้องตกใจก็ถนนเส้นเดียวกันนั่นแหล่ะ จากนั้นเลี้ยวซ้ายใช้ถนนสาย ๑๑๕๕ ขับไปเรื่อยๆ  ถึงคราวนี้ก็ต้องตัดสินใจเลือกเส้นทางอีกครั้ง ถ้าสบายๆ แต่ไกลหน่อยก็ใช้เส้นทาง ๑๑๕๕ ไปเรื่อยๆ จนถึง สามแยกขึ้นภูชี้ฟ้า (1 ) ( มีป้ายบอก ) เส้นทางนี้ เป็นเส้นทางมาตรฐานที่ใช้ขึ้นภูชี้ฟ้า เส้นนี้ทางชันน้อยกว่าเส้นทางอื่นๆ ขับขึ้นไปจนตัดกับถนนบนภูชี้ฟ้าจนถึง สามแยกสับสน จะเลี้ยวซ้ายหรือเลี้ยวขวาก็ว่ากันอีกทีว่าท่านจะไปพักรีสอร์ทไหน รีสอร์ทนั้นอยู่ซ้ายหรือขวา

ถ้ามาจาก เชียงแสน เชียงของ กรณีเที่ยวเป็นวงรอบ จากเชียงของใช้เส้นทางสาย ๑๐๒๐ จนถึงสะพานข้ามคลองแม่น้ำอิง ก็มีเส้นทางให้ตัดสินใจเลือก ๒ เส้นทาง  เส้นแรก ตรงไปตามเส้นทางสายเดิม ๑๐๒๐  ก็ได้ เป็นเส้นทางอ้อม ขับตรงไปเรื่อยๆ จนถึง อ. เทิง จากนั้นก็ใช้เส้นทางสาย ๑๐๒๑ เหมือนข้างบนที่ได้อธิบายไว้แล้ว
